Good evening. You will have heard the news tonight that we will enter a new national lockdown from tonight. This means that unfortunately school will be closed to the majority of pupils and we will switch to remote learning during this closure period.
As the news has arrived so late in the day, we will need some time to plan what happens next for our children of critical workers. If you are a critical worker AND you have no other options for childcare, then please bring your children to school for a slightly shorter day tomorrow arriving between 9:00am and 9:20am in the morning. You will need to collect your child between 2:45pm and 3:05pm as school will close at this time.
These times will change slightly for critical worker children once we know how many will need us. You can register as a critical worker using the link from our previous parent hub message for a place over the next few weeks. We will look at each family circumstance individually and we do reserve the right to ask employers for evidence of your critical worker status and the hours you are required to work.
Please note, spaces may be limited due to staffing and being a critical worker does not automatically mean that you a space for the days you need. We will look into each request and offer spaces accordingly but this may mean we will have to the limit the days we can offer or if only one parent is a critical worker you may not be offered a space.
Please only use us tomorrow (and over the next few weeks) if you absolutely have to but especially whilst we try to organise things for those who need us most.
We will be in touch regarding home learning, free school meals provision and lots of other things over the coming days. Please be patient with us whilst we get sorted. If you send messages to our enquiries email address this evening we will not answer them until tomorrow.
